Future Entrepreneur?
Yesterday, my sister and I decided to have a leisure walk at pavilion mall---actually no, hah! She said she wanted to sell her old MP4 player so she could have money. I traded watching all my favorite shows and slacking all day long for a little adventure. I am really interested. You see, my sister is a good entrepreneur. Based on what she tells me she can sell old rotten stuff for a reasonable fair price—and sometimes even more.
She got the MP4 player way back 2006 as a reward for herself, because she passed her Math 17 in UP. She bought it for P3,600 at Festival Mall.
And because technology has updated itself for the past years, you would see fake MP4 like that for only P1000. So we were expecting to at least sell it for P500.
Sinuyod namin yung buong tindahan na nakahaelra. And the lowest offer we got is P100, and the highest is P850. We should have said yes to the latter considering the fact that we are asking them to buy a second hand MP4 that doesn’t have any earphones.
But my sister planned a little scheme. She said she doesn’t want to look desperate to get the offer of P850. Baka nga naman mag bago ang decision bigla ng tindera kung sakaling kumagat kami sa alok nya without even thinking twice.
So we went straight to PureGold. We bought some stuff that we will need for our little business at home. I was laughing hysterically because my sister brought her scientific calculator all the way to the supermarket just to keep track on how much it will cost her.
Tapos we went back sa store. Apparently, dahil sunod-sunod naming silang pinagtanungan, they asked each other kung magkano ang inoffer nila saamin (habang wala kami). And narialize siguro nung nag bibigay ng P850 na luge sha. My instincts are right, we should have said yes right there and then nung P850 pa ang offer.
So we dropped the idea of selling it and just went to Target Mall to do business with some Muslims. The highest we got is P500, but the man decided that her daughter already has one. Pamasahe daw yung P20. haha.
Tapos nalaman ko na we are still lucky to have it for P320. Kasi sira pala yun, hindi sinabi ni ate. They kept opening kasi, pero walang nalabas na graphics, ang sinasabi lage, din naka charge. Yun pala, nagana lang pag chinacharge.
